Week 3 is now coming to and end, and to me, it feels like it is not week 3, but week 1. For our past few weeks, we had a substitute, so the class didn't feel exactly "right." But now, as a surprise, our real teacher has returned. It is nice having the teacher that was meant to be in the class, knowing exactly how the course of the class is to go. And the day of the returned, I believe that we began reading quick books or chapters of Beowulf.
We grabbed our very large, purple English books, and began to read. For our first day of reading, only the teacher had read, which I am fine with. The next day though, that changed. From each table of the classroom we had a student begin to read different sections of the book, which helped get students to be involved in the activity. That wasn't all we had done though, previously we had been given a piece of paper that had a grid on it, an outline. This outline was in a way, a basic theme for a lot of stories and movies. With the outline we chunked up the story, explaining different parts of the story.
